Definiton of Memoir

What is the difference between memoir and autobiography?

An autobiography is a account of one's complete life from birth to a point in time. A memoir is a "slice of life" that can take the reader back to the author's moment in time that was particularly vivid or intense.

Student Six-Word Memoirs

Bird and the cage not in cage. I swear I'm not perfect. OK?  Only perfect in God's eyes now.

I live to show others why. I don't end memoirs strongly, yeah. My dad drives the hippie van.

I don't know what to say. I want to be like Mike. I like shooting basket hoops regularly.

I'm going to marry Tim Tebow. I want to be a vegetable.  Bruised knees and flannel tees. Bliss.--Tatiana.

Writing is my best subject. I lost my creativity last year. Wish I could use more words.

Lots of socc-er and homework. I do things I'm afraid of. Life is about service to others.

My idols are Phineas and Ferb.  Today, I had a great idea. I double dare you to kiss me.

Today I was born, twas nice.  Mom, dad, brother, dogs + car=chaos.

I'm lost in my own thoughts. Too many drams circle my mind. Pointe shoes and pas de deux.

Making dreams come true, quite literally.

The boy with Sperrys and sweater.--E.R.  My parents are rich, not me.  My mnd is a Colorful Colfax.--April.
